What is "Moments" and How It Works
Moments is a feature in the BallerCam app that lets you save clips of key plays during live games. You can use it on a second iOS device while filming so you can tap to mark important actions without stopping the camera. Moments is currently available for all sports.
How to start using Moments
- Open your BallerCam app on your iPhone while you are at the venue with your team.
- When your game is live, tap the In-Venue Experience Tile and look for the "Mark Moment" button.
- If you are not keeping score, you should see the "Baller" button after tapping into your game. If you are keeping score, tap "Keep Score" first. You will see a "Mark Moment" button right inside the scoring interface, so you can track the score and flag highlights without switching screens.
- Tap "Mark Moment" or the Baller Button any time you want to timestamp a great play. Your clip will encompass 8 seconds before the button was pressed and 2 seconds after, and can be edited later.
Each time you tap “Moments,” the app will save a timestamped clip to your Moments log.
How Moments uses Favorite Players
If you have added Favorite Players in your app settings, Moments can automatically tag those players when you save a clip. This helps you avoid manually selecting players during fast play. To set Favorite Players:
Go to your team roster in the app.
Tap the star icon next to the players you want to favorite.
When you create a Moment during live play, any Favorite Player involved in that play will be pre-assigned in the Moment.
Reviewing and tagging Moments
After the game, you can find your logged Moments either on the Team Home screen or by clicking into a game and looking under the Highlights >> Your Highlights tab. The Moments log shows:
The clips you saved
The timestamps
Any auto-assigned Favorite Player tags
An option to edit players or play types (tap the three dots)
To add play types:
Tap a Moment in the log.
Choose the play type (for example, kill, block, assist, dig, ace in Volleyball).
Save your selection.
You can also add or change player tags if the auto-tag was incorrect or incomplete.
Where Moments clips are stored
All saved Moments are logged in your Game Log for any game that Moments are kept, as well as the Highlights tab under Your Highlights. Your Moments remain available after the game so you can review and update tags later.
Sharing Moments
Once Moments are tagged with players and play types, you can share individual clips. Select a clip from the Moments log, then use the share option to send it to friends or family through your preferred app.
