Unjoining or Unfollowing a Team

You can leave or unfollow a BallerCam team at any time.

The option you use depends on how you're connected to the team:

• Leave Team — used in the BallerCam app when you've joined a team.
• Unfollow — used when you're following a team and no longer want it associated with your account.

If you decide to return later, you can use the team's shareable link to join or follow the team again.

📱 How to Leave a Team in the BallerCam App

To leave a team:

1. Open the BallerCam app.
2. Tap Teams.
3. Select the team you want to leave.
4. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in the upper-right corner.
5. Select Leave Team.
6. Confirm if prompted.

The current BallerCam navigation uses Home, Teams, and Profile, with Teams serving as the directory for teams you manage or follow.

🌐 How to Unfollow a Team on the Web

If you're following a team through BallerCam on the web:

1. Sign in to your BallerCam account.
2. Open the team's page.
3. Select Unfollow next to the team name.

You must be signed in to see the Unfollow option.

🔄 Want to Join the Team Again Later?

If you leave or unfollow a team and decide to return, ask the team Creator for the team's shareable team link.

BallerCam now uses a single team link that can be shared with different people. When joining, you select the role that applies to you.

Depending on the team, available roles may include:

• Coach
• Team Staff or Team Admin
• Parent/Guardian
• Player
• Fan

The available roles and approval requirements depend on the team and the role you select.

🎟️ Rejoining as a Fan

Fans can use the team link to follow the team again.

Fan access does not require Creator approval.

After following the team, you can access the fan experience, which can include:

• Watching livestreams and replays
• Viewing the team page
• Receiving livestream alerts
• Receiving final-score notifications

🧑‍🏫 Rejoining as a Coach, Team Staff, or Team Admin

If you rejoin with a team role that includes additional permissions, your request may require approval from the team Creator.

While approval is pending, you may still have basic viewing access.

Once approved, the permissions available to your role become active.

👪 Rejoining as a Parent/Guardian

If you select Parent/Guardian, your membership request is sent to the team Creator for approval.

Once approved, you'll receive the permissions enabled for your account by the Creator.

Note: Parent/Guardian functionality is not available for Adult teams.

🏃 Rejoining as a Player

The Player role is available to athletes age 13 and older, including players on Adult teams.

What happens when you rejoin depends on the team's roster and whether BallerCam can match your account to an existing player.

If BallerCam Finds an Exact Match

BallerCam can automatically match you to an uploaded roster entry when either of the following exactly matches trusted roster information:

• Your email address
• Your verified phone number

When an exact trusted match is found, your team membership and athlete-profile connection can be automatically approved.

If BallerCam Can't Find an Exact Match

You may see:

Select the roster entry that belongs to you.

Your team membership and athlete-profile claim will then remain pending until the team Creator approves the request.

If the Team Doesn't Have an Uploaded Roster

You'll be taken to:

Add Yourself

BallerCam can use information from your account to create the necessary roster entry and athlete connection.

Creator approval is still required before your Player membership is confirmed.

👤 Removing an Athlete Profile Link

Leaving or unfollowing a team is different from the Remove Link option available for an athlete profile you've claimed or own.

If you specifically want to remove your athlete-profile connection:

1. Open the athlete profile.
2. Select More.
3. Select Remove Link.

After the link is removed:

• Edit access is removed.
• Any Claim Pending status is removed.
• Athlete ownership becomes inactive.
• The ownership connection is not immediately recreated automatically.
• You can claim the athlete again later if you're eligible.

💡 Before You Leave or Unfollow

Before removing a team from your account, consider whether you only want to:

• Stop following the team
• Leave your team membership
• Remove an athlete-profile connection

These are different actions in BallerCam, so choose the option that matches what you want to change.

If you plan to return to the team later, you may want to keep the team's share link or contact the team Creator so you can request it again.
