Does the phone need cell service?

You can livestream using either a cellular connection (5G or LTE) or a WiFi network/hotspot. We recommend at least 5 Mbps upload speed for a smooth livestream experience.

If you're in an area with poor reception, you can use Record Only mode instead. This saves the full game directly to your iPhone without needing any internet connection — just make sure you're already logged into the BallerCam app beforehand. You can upload the game later from the app once you're connected to WiFi at home.

Even when you livestream, BallerCam still saves an HD local recording to your iPhone, so you're always backed up in case of internet issues.
