BallerCam uses your iPhone’s camera, so overall video quality depends on your phone model — newer iPhones tend to produce sharper results.
- Livestreams are delivered in 720p HD and can be affected by the internet connection at the venue.
- A 1080p HD version is also recorded locally on your iPhone and is not affected by connectivity. You’ll see that version immediately in the app, and can upload it afterward so others can view it in full HD.
BallerCam also provides smooth, natural panning — not jerky or robotic — thanks to our AI tracking. When filming setup is done properly (tripod height, framing, masking), the AI follows the action reliably across the field or court.
Technically, BallerCam uses a single wide-angle lens to capture the entire field or court in 4K, then digitally pans, tilts, and zooms to create the dynamic game footage. Since this is digital zoom, the more you zoom in, the more you may notice some softening or blur — especially for very distant objects. This trade-off helps us offer flexible, high-coverage filming without physical camera movement or a camera operator.
