Can you explain the math behind a plan upgrade?

Yes! You can upgrade to a higher subscription tier at any time. Here’s how it works with our current system:

1. Refund for unused time (only with an upgrade)

   • When you upgrade, we’ll refund you for the remaining unused portion of your current annual plan.

   • Example: If you have 5 months left on your current plan, you’ll get back 5/12 of what you originally paid.

   • ⚠️ Important: Refunds are only available when upgrading. You cannot request a partial refund just to cancel your plan early.

      

2. Start fresh at the new tier

   • Once the refund is processed, your new higher-tier subscription begins immediately.

   • This creates a new 12-month billing cycle starting from your upgrade date.

      

Example

You purchased an Annual Starter Plan for $99/year. After 7 months, you decide to upgrade to the Pro Plan ($199/year).

• You have 5 months left on your Starter Plan → we’ll refund you 5/12 of $99 = $41.25.

• You then purchase the Pro Plan at $199/year → your new 12-month term begins today and will renew 12 months from this upgrade date.
