Global Home, Navigation, and Premium Features

BallerCam has introduced a redesigned app experience that makes it easier to find games, follow teams and athletes, set up your BallerCam, and start filming.

The update introduces a new Global Home, simplified navigation, improved team and creator workflows, and new Premium features for Pro Plan subscribers.

🏠 New Global Home Experience

The old team-list/home experience has been replaced with a personalized Global Home feed.

Global Home now serves as the main hub for relevant content across your teams, including:

• Live games
• Recently filmed games
• Upcoming games
• Latest games
• Clips and highlights
• Favorite athletes
• Shared content

The new Home experience also includes smoother loading states and pull-to-refresh, making content easier to access and refresh.

🧭 Updated App Navigation

The bottom navigation has been simplified to:

• Home
• Teams
• Profile

Home is now the primary destination for games and personalized content.

Teams provides a cleaner directory of teams you manage or follow.

The app also includes consistent floating action buttons:

• Home: Film button for eligible creators
• Teams: + button for adding or joining teams
• Team pages: Film Game button for users with filming access

👥 Updated Team Navigation

Team pages now include clearer navigation with the following tabs:

• Overview
• People
• Games
• Clips

The previous Roster tab has been renamed People.

Games sub-tabs have also been updated to match the newer navigation style across the app.

🎥 Recently Filmed & Latest Games

Creators will now see a more prominent Recently Filmed card after filming a game.

The card provides clearer HD upload and processing states, including actions such as:

• Upload
• Processing
• Watch Replay

Latest Games cards have also been updated to show clearer information, including:

• Game timing
• Score
• Sport
• Replay availability
• Highlight messaging

📅 Upcoming Games

Upcoming games are now surfaced directly on Global Home.

Eligible users can start supported games directly from the upcoming-game card.

Start Game permissions remain tied to the specific team associated with the game.

Selecting More This Week also takes users directly to scheduled game details.

✂️ Clips & Highlights

The Clips and Highlights experience has been updated to make video content easier to find and understand.

Updates include:

• A redesigned empty state that explains how to build your clips library
• Better support for clips and highlights
• Clearer creation timestamps
• Improved visibility of Clip and Highlight labels
• Sport-specific imagery where applicable

⭐ Favorite Athletes

Users can now see Favorite Athletes directly on Global Home.

Athlete cards can surface relevant:

• Games
• Clips
• Moments

Selecting an athlete card takes you directly to that athlete’s profile.

🚀 Updated Creator Onboarding

First-time users are now asked what they want to do:

• Film Your Team
• Follow Your Team

Users who choose Film Your Team are guided toward BallerCam activation before creating a team and starting to film.

Creators may also see a setup checklist that includes:

• Activate BallerCam
• Create your team
• Build your roster
• Schedule or film a game

Users who choose Follow Your Team are guided through joining a team using a team code or invite link.

🏀 Team Setup & Team Home

The team creation and setup experience has also been updated.

Changes include:

• Expanded team color options
• New Build Your Roster card for teams without players
• Setup checklist progress that updates as players are added
• More prominent team and creator actions

Team Home can now provide quicker access to actions such as:

• Scheduling games
• Inviting members
• Building your roster
• Filming a game

Eligible creators will also see the updated floating Film Game action.

👤 Profile Updates

The Profile screen now includes updated styling and icons.

Users without an active BallerCam will also see a clearer Get BallerCam option to help them begin the activation process.

📱 Landscape & Responsive Improvements

The app now provides improved landscape support across key experiences, including:

• Global Home
• Team views
• Team picker
• Pre-game memories
• Filming options
• Playlist transitions

These updates provide a more consistent experience when using BallerCam in landscape orientation.

💎 New Pro Plan Premium Features

The BallerCam Pro Plan now includes two Premium features:

• RTMP
• Logo Overlay

All other existing BallerCam benefits remain available across the plans.

RTMP

RTMP allows you to stream your games to an external destination, including:

• YouTube
• Facebook
• A custom external server

You can set a default RTMP destination for a specific team or customize the destination for each individual stream.

Logo Overlay

Logo Overlay allows you to add a custom team or organization logo to your streams and recordings.

For now, the logo overlay will also be included when the recording is downloaded.

We will soon be releasing an additional Premium feature that will allow users to disable overlays on downloaded videos.
