Creating a Team

Overview:

In the BallerCam app, every creator must create a team before they can start filming games. Your team is where you manage your roster, invite other members, share your fan link, and organize your games.

Key Concepts:

• Every creator must have a team. You cannot film games without creating or selecting a team.
   
• You can create multiple teams. This is useful if you coach or film for more than one team.
   
• Team names and team details can be changed later. You can update your team name, sport, location, and other info anytime.
   

How to Create a Team

Step 1: Account Required

Before you create a team, make sure you’ve already created your BallerCam account. Learn how to create an account here.

Step 2: Start the Team Creation Process

1. Open the BallerCam app.
    
2. On the Home Screen, tap “Get Started.”
    

3. Under Create New Team, tap “Start Now.”

    

Step 3: Select Your Role

Choose your role from:

• Coach
   
• Team Manager
   
• Parent/Guardian
   (This selection helps us tailor your team management experience.)

Step 4: Enter Your Team Details

• Create your Team Name. (Tip: More descriptive names help others find you. Example: Baller Stars 13U)

• Select your Location.

• Choose your Sport. (Be sure to select this correctly — it determines your filming setup!)

Select your Gender.
 

• Select your Age Group.

• Select your Current Season.
   

(All of these details can be edited later if needed.)

Step 5: Optional – Add a Team Logo

• You can upload a team logo now or skip this step and add one later.

What Happens After You Create Your Team?

• You’ll land on the Home tab of your new team.

• If you manage multiple teams, you can switch between them using the hamburger menu (☰) in the top left corner of your screen.
   

Navigating Your Team

At the bottom of your screen, you’ll see five main tabs to manage your team:

• Home – Team updates, upcoming games, team profile
   
• Team – Roster management and member invites
   
• Film – Where you start filming games and practices
   
• Games – Game history and upload status
   
• Clips – Saved and shared highlight clips
   

You can tap “Edit Profile” from the Home tab anytime to update your team’s name, sport, location, season, or logo.
