Watching Replays in BallerCam: Access, Quality, and Replay Modes

BallerCam makes it easy to rewatch your games after filming, whether the game was livestreamed or recorded using Record Only.

Replay availability and video quality depend on how the game was filmed and whether the HD recording has been uploaded.

👥 Who Can Watch Replays?

Anyone with a free BallerCam account can watch available game replays.

• Replays are free to watch.
• A paid subscription is not required.
• Viewers need to be signed in to their BallerCam account to watch a replay.

• Non-private livestreams can be watched through a direct link without signing in while the game is live.

For Record Only games, the replay will not be available to other viewers until the filmer uploads the recording.

🕒 When Are Replays Available?

Replay availability is different for livestreamed and Record Only games.

📡 Livestreamed Games

After a livestream ends:

For the filmer:

• The local 1080p HD recording is available on the filming iPhone.

For other viewers:

• The replay is available after the livestream ends.
• It initially uses the livestream version of the game.
• Once the filmer uploads the HD recording, the replay upgrades to the higher-quality HD version.

Uploading the HD recording also makes additional replay experiences available for supported games.

🎥 Record Only Games

When a game is filmed using Record Only:

For the filmer:

• The local HD recording is available on the filming iPhone after the game.

For other viewers:

• The replay is not available until the filmer uploads the recording.
• Once the upload and processing are complete, the replay becomes available in HD.

If you filmed while offline, you can upload the game later when you have a stable internet connection.

The filming iPhone saves a high-quality local recording while you film.

Uploading that recording gives viewers the best available replay experience and unlocks additional features for supported games.

After the HD recording is uploaded and processed, you can benefit from:

• Higher-quality HD replay

• Panoramic View
• Additional replay and post-game features available for your sport

For livestreamed games, the HD upload replaces the lower-quality livestream replay with the higher-quality recording.

For Record Only games, uploading makes the replay available to other viewers.

📺 Replay Modes

BallerCam offers different ways to review your game.

🤖 Smart View

Smart View uses BallerCam's AI to automatically follow the action.

It pans and zooms for you so you can watch the game without manually controlling the camera.

Smart View is best when you simply want to watch the main action from start to finish.

🕹️ Explore View

Explore View lets you control what you're watching.

You can:

• Pan around the field or court
• Pinch to zoom in and out
• Follow a specific player
• Review off-ball movement
• Look at action outside the Smart View frame

Explore View is available for supported games after the HD recording has been uploaded and processed.

You can access Explore View directly in the BallerCam app when available.

🏟️ Panoramic View

Panoramic View gives you a wider look at the playing area instead of following a specific part of the action.

It's useful for reviewing:

• Player positioning
• Team spacing
• Defensive formations
• Off-ball movement
• Overall team shape

Panoramic View also becomes available for supported games after the HD recording has been uploaded and processed.

📲 How to Change Replay Views

When more than one replay mode is available:

1. Open the game replay in BallerCam.
2. Tap the View Mode icon in the video player.
3. Choose:
   • Smart View
   • Explore View
   • Panoramic View
4. Continue watching in your selected replay mode.

If Explore View or Panoramic View does not appear, make sure the HD recording has finished uploading and processing.

🔍 Using Explore View in the App

Explore View gives you hands-on control of the replay.

While watching, you can:

• Drag to move around the video
• Pinch to zoom in or out
• Follow a player or area of the field
• Use either landscape orientation when reviewing the game

This can be helpful when you want to see something that happened outside the area Smart View was focused on.

📊 Replay Quality

Replay quality depends on the type of game and whether the HD recording has been uploaded.

For the best replay experience, complete the HD upload after every game.

✂️ Trim & Edit Replay

Eligible team Creators with an active BallerCam subscription—including Base—can use Trim & Edit Replay to remove footage from the beginning, end, or middle of a published replay.

Preview your changes and undo adjustments before publishing. Published edits change the replay viewers watch without changing the original recording or existing clips. You can restore the original replay afterward.

🌐 Watching Replays on the Web

BallerCam replays can also be watched through the web.

Availability of interactive replay modes such as Explore View and Panoramic View may depend on the device and browser being used.

If a replay mode is unavailable on the web:

• Make sure your browser is up to date.
• Make sure your device software is current.
• Try another browser.
• Try another compatible device.

You can still use the available replay modes supported by your device.

⚽ Favorite-Player Goal Cards

When watching a Soccer game, goal and assist cards can highlight plays involving your favorite players. Tap a card to view the linked player information.

You can turn these cards off in the available viewing settings. Your preference is saved for future viewing.

🚫 Why Can't I See a Replay?

If you can't find or watch a replay, check the following:

For a Record-Only Game

The filmer may not have uploaded the game yet.

Only the filming iPhone has access to the local recording until it is uploaded.

For an HD Replay

The HD recording may still be uploading or processing.

Allow the upload to finish before checking again.

If an Upload Didn't Complete

Make sure the filming iPhone has a stable internet connection and retry the upload.

Your local recording can remain available on the filming device so you can retry the upload if needed.
