Replay Modes: Smart View, Explore View, and Panoramic View

BallerCam gives you several ways to watch your game after you film it. Depending on the game and whether the HD recording has finished uploading, you can choose between Smart View, Explore View, and Panoramic View.

Each replay mode lets you review the action differently.

🤖 Smart View

Smart View uses BallerCam’s AI to automatically follow the action.

As the play moves around the field or court, Smart View pans and zooms for you so you can watch the game without manually controlling the camera.

Smart View is best when you want to:

• Watch the game from start to finish
• Follow the main action automatically
• Review plays without manually moving the camera

🕹️ Explore View

Explore View lets you control what you see.

Instead of following the AI-generated view, you can move around the wider recording yourself.

With Explore View, you can:

• Pan around the field or court
• Pinch to zoom in and out
• Follow a specific player
• Review off-ball movement
• Look at action outside the Smart View frame
• Revisit plays from a different perspective

Explore View is available after the game’s HD recording has been uploaded and processed.

You can access Explore View directly in the BallerCam app.

🏟️ Panoramic View

Panoramic View gives you a wider view of the playing area.

Rather than following one part of the action, it lets you see more of the field or court at the same time.

Panoramic View is especially useful for reviewing:

• Player positioning
• Team spacing
• Defensive setups
• Off-ball movement
• Overall team shape
• Tactical play

Some wide-angle distortion is normal when viewing the full panoramic recording.

Like Explore View, Panoramic View becomes available after the HD recording has been uploaded and processed.

📲 How to Switch Replay Modes

When multiple replay modes are available:

1. Open the game replay in BallerCam.
2. Tap the View Mode icon in the video player.
3. Select:
   • Smart View
   • Explore View
   • Panoramic View
4. The replay will switch to your selected view.

If Explore View or Panoramic View is not available yet, make sure the HD recording has finished uploading and processing.

⬆️ Why HD Upload Matters

Explore View and Panoramic View use the wider HD recording saved on the filming iPhone.

Because of this, the HD recording needs to be uploaded before these replay modes become available.

After the HD upload is complete and processed, you can access the additional replay views available for that game.

For Record Only games, uploading also makes the replay available to other viewers.

🔍 Using Explore View in the App

Explore View gives you hands-on control of the replay.

While watching:

• Drag to move around the video
• Pinch to zoom in or out
• Follow the player or action you want to review
• Rotate your phone to either landscape orientation for comfortable viewing

This can be especially useful when you want to review something that happened outside the area Smart View was focused on.

✂️ Creating Clips From Replay

Replay modes can also help you find the exact part of the game you want to save as a clip.

Smart View is useful when the AI already captured the play you want.

Explore View can help when you want to:

• Find a player away from the main action
• Reframe the play
• Zoom in on a specific part of the field or court
• Review something the AI did not center on

Once you find the play you want, use BallerCam’s clip controls to create and save your clip.

🚫 Why Don't I See Explore View or Panoramic View?

If Explore View or Panoramic View is missing, check the following:

• Make sure the game’s HD recording has been uploaded.
• Allow time for the HD recording to finish processing.
• Make sure you're using the latest version of the BallerCam app.
• Close and reopen the replay after processing is complete.

Replay options can vary depending on the game and the video available.

💻 Watching Replay Modes on the Web

Explore View and Panoramic View can also be available when watching BallerCam replays through a supported web browser.

Some devices or browsers may not support the video format required for these interactive replay modes.

If you receive a message that the feature is unavailable on your device:

• Update your browser.
• Make sure your device software is up to date.
• Try another supported browser.
• Try viewing the replay on another device.

You can still use Smart View if an interactive replay mode is not supported on your device.

• Allow the upload to finish processing before checking for additional replay modes.
