How to Schedule a Game in the BallerCam App

Scheduling a game in advance makes game day easier. You can enter your game details ahead of time, share the game with viewers, receive reminders, and quickly start filming when you're ready.

Scheduled games also appear in BallerCam's Upcoming Games experience, making them easier to find from Global Home.

📅 Why Schedule a Game?

Scheduling your game ahead of time lets you:

• Enter game information before arriving at the venue
• Share the game with family, fans, and other viewers in advance
• Receive reminders before the scheduled start time
• Quickly start the game without entering the same information again
• Keep upcoming games organized in BallerCam

You can schedule as many games as you need. Games are currently added one at a time; BallerCam does not provide a mass schedule import option.

➕ How to Schedule a Game

1. Open Your Team

1. Open the BallerCam app.
2. Tap Teams.
3. Select the team you want to schedule a game for.
4. From your team page, select the option to Schedule Game.

Team pages provide quick access to common actions such as scheduling games, inviting people, building your roster, and filming.

2. Enter the Game Details

Enter the information for your upcoming game.

You may be asked to provide:

• Your Team Name — automatically loaded
• Team Jersey Color — optional
• Opponent Name — optional
• Opponent Jersey Color — optional
• Start Date and Time — required
• Home or Away designation
• Venue — search for and select the game location.
• Field or court details — add the specific playing area so your team knows where to go.

If you don't know every detail yet, you can update the game later.

When you're finished, tap Schedule Game.

Saved opponent selections, rosters, jersey colors, and logos carry into game setup. Review these details before filming and update anything that has changed.

✅ Your Game Is Scheduled

After saving, your game will be added to your team's upcoming schedule.

Upcoming games can also appear directly on Global Home for easier access.

Your scheduled start time helps with:

• Organization
• Reminders
• Sharing the game
• Finding the game quickly on game day

Scheduling a game does not automatically start the livestream or recording.

🏃 Scheduling Practices and Using RSVP

Use the dedicated practice creation option to schedule a practice. Add the practice date, start and end times, arrival time, and venue details. You can also choose whether to include a scoreboard.

Collect RSVPs to track attendance. Request RSVPs remains available even after everyone has responded.

If you enable RSVP notifications later, allow notifications when prompted so you can receive updates.

📍 Finding the Venue and Getting Directions

Game details and RSVP information can include the venue and specific field or court details.

Use the available directions link to open the location in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze. Check the field or court details before leaving so you arrive at the correct playing area.

▶️ Starting a Scheduled Game

When it's time to play, open the scheduled game and start it when you're ready.

Eligible users can start supported upcoming games directly from the game's card on Global Home.

You can also start a scheduled game before its scheduled start time if the game begins early.

The scheduled time does not restrict when you can begin filming. 

Review the saved team and opponent details, then complete the filming setup. Tap Go Live to livestream or Start Recording for Record Only.

Only one filming iPhone can publish a scheduled livestream at a time. If filming is interrupted, use the original filming iPhone to resume. Other phones can still be used to keep score, mark Moments, or watch.

🔔 Scheduled Game Reminders

The Creator receives push notifications:

• 24 hours before the scheduled start time
• 2 hours before the scheduled start time

These reminders help make sure the game is ready to start on time.

Important: Scheduling a game does not automatically begin the stream. Someone with the appropriate filming permission must still manually start the game.

🔗 Share a Scheduled Game

You can share the game before it starts so family, friends, and other viewers know where to watch.

To share:

1. Open the scheduled game.
2. Tap the Share icon.
3. Send the game link using your preferred sharing option.

People who follow your team are notified when the game actually goes live; scheduling the game by itself does not send them a live-game notification.

✏️ Edit a Scheduled Game

If anything changes before game day, you can update the scheduled game.

Open the game and use the available menu to edit details such as:

• Opponent
• Jersey colors
• Start date
• Start time
• Home or Away designation

Save your changes when you're finished.

🗑️ Delete a Scheduled Game

If the game is canceled or no longer needed:

1. Open the scheduled game.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯).
3. Select the option to delete the game.

📆 Finding More Upcoming Games

Upcoming games are surfaced on Global Home.

You can also select More This Week to go directly to additional scheduled game details.

This makes it easier to review your team's upcoming schedule without navigating through older game lists.

💡 Scheduling Best Practices

For a smoother game-day experience:

• Schedule games as soon as the date and time are confirmed.
• Add the opponent name when available so viewers can easily identify the game.
• Confirm the correct Home or Away designation.
• Add jersey colors before the game when possible.
• Share the game link ahead of time with anyone who plans to watch.
• Check the scheduled start time before game day.
• Update the game if the schedule changes.
• Open BallerCam before the game starts so you have enough time to prepare your filming setup.
