How to Install and Use the BallerCam Super Cooler Fan

The BallerCam Super Cooler Fan is based on Peltier Fan technology and is designed for hot-weather recording. It swaps into the same slot as the standard BallerCam fan and adds active cooling to help keep your phone recording during hot games. It is intended for outdoor sideline use when shade and the BallerCam back cover are available.

The Super Cooler has been tested in hot conditions, including up to 105°F with iPhone 15 Pro and newer when used with shade and the BallerCam back cover, and 100°F+ with iPhone 13 Pro. Based on internal testing, it has supported approximately 2–3 hours of continuous recording in hot conditions, though actual runtime will vary by phone model, current phone battery level, shade, airflow, and recording setup.

Before you start

For best results:

How to install the Super Cooler Fan

1. Hold your BallerCam with the front facing you.
2. Remove the standard fan module using the side tab.
3. Place the Super Cooler into the same slot until it snaps.
4. Make sure the Super Cooler is seated securely.
5. Connect the attached USB cable to your BallerCam battery pack or another compatible 5V / 3A USB power source.
6. Attach the BallerCam back cover.
7. Place BallerCam in shade whenever possible before starting your recording.

The Super Cooler is not magnetic. It is designed to drop into the same fan slot used by the standard BallerCam fan.

How the Super Cooler works

The Super Cooler uses thermoelectric cooling. A cold plate transfers heat through BallerCam’s metal adapter plate, while a built-in fan and aluminum heat sink push that heat out of the unit. The cold plate does not touch your phone directly. The BallerCam metal adapter plate sits between the Super Cooler and your phone.

When should I use the Super Cooler?

Use the Super Cooler for hot-weather recording, especially during outdoor games where your phone may be more likely to heat up.

For indoor games, mild outdoor weather, or cooler conditions, the standard BallerCam fan may be sufficient.
