BallerCam Apple Watch App for Scorekeeping

Overview

The BallerCam Apple Watch App is a companion app that lets you manage key game actions from your wrist while you film or watch a live game. You can:

• View the current score and game state at a glance

• Update scoring and game progress (for authorized scorekeepers)

• Mark "Moments" during live play

What you need

• An iPhone paired with your Apple Watch

• The BallerCam iPhone app installed and signed in

• An Apple Watch running a supported watchOS version

• A game created in BallerCam (scheduled or live)

• Permission to scorekeep if you want to change the score (fans can still mark moments)

How to install the Apple Watch app

Most users will install it through the iPhone Watch app:

1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app

2. Tap My Watch

3. Scroll down to Available Apps

4. Find BallerCam and tap Install

You can also install from the watch (if supported on your watchOS version):

1. Open App Store on Apple Watch

2. Search for BallerCam

3. Tap Get

Getting started

1. Open BallerCam on your Apple Watch

2. Select a game from the list

   • Games may show as scheduled (pre-game) or live (in-progress)

3. After selecting a game, you will see the scoring and game-status screen (score, period/set, time)

Updating the score and game status (scorekeepers)

If you are a scorekeeper for the game, you can use the watch to:

• Add points/goals for either team

• Advance game progress (periods/quarters/sets, depending on sport)

• Keep the broadcast overlay in sync without handling your phone

If you do not have scorekeeper access, you will still be able to view the game state and (in many cases) mark moments.

Marking moments (highlights)

During a live game, you can tap to mark a "Moment" so it is easier to find later in highlights and clips.

• This is useful for parents and fans who want to flag big plays in real time

• If you have a favorite player selected (where supported), the moment can be tagged to that player

Sport-specific workflows (examples)

Depending on the sport, the watch app may offer sport-specific actions, such as:

• Volleyball: track points and set wins; start a new set when one ends

• [COMING SOON] Soccer: attribute a goal to a scorer and optionally an assist

• [COMING SOON] Basketball (and others): score updates and period/clock tracking based on the sport rules used in BallerCam

Admin controls (when available)

Some games include additional controls for authorized users, such as:

• Undo the most recent score action

• Mute/unmute the broadcast audio

• End the game when it is complete

Troubleshooting

• I do not see BallerCam under “Available Apps” in the Watch app

  • Confirm the BallerCam iPhone app is installed and you are signed in

  • Restart the iPhone Watch app and try again

  • Restart both iPhone and Apple Watch if it still does not appear

• The score is not updating

  • Confirm you have scorekeeper permissions for that game

  • Confirm your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone (Bluetooth or nearby Wi-Fi)

  • If you are in a low-connectivity area, try again after reconnecting

• I cannot find my game

  • Confirm you are signed into the correct BallerCam account on iPhone

  • Confirm the game is created and visible in the BallerCam iPhone app
