Tag Stats lets you mark plays, associate them with players, and organize statistics and highlights. Available tools vary by sport.
Basketball Tag Stats are available inside the app after HD upload. Live scoring and Moments provide separate ways to record events while a game is happening.
✅ Best Practices for All Sports
When tagging live, mark the event as it happens. When reviewing a replay, place the tag at the correct point in the video.
- When possible, dedicate one person to tagging rather than having the same person manage every game control.
- Correct a wrong tag immediately before the next play.
- Tag first, then assign a player during the next stoppage when the action is too fast.
- Review the tag feed regularly to catch mistakes.
🏀 Basketball Tags
Basketball Tag Stats are available in the app after HD upload. You can tag and edit replay events in portrait or landscape, including games with imported Smart Plays.
- Made Shot (+2) — Use when a 2-point attempt goes in.
- Made Shot (+3) — Use when a shot from behind the arc goes in.
- Missed Shot — Use when a shot attempt fails before the rebound.
- Free Throw Made / Missed — Tag each free throw attempt individually.
- Assist — Use when a pass directly leads to a made basket.
- Rebound (Off/Def) — Distinguish offensive and defensive rebounds.
- Foul, Turnover, Steal, Block, Timeout — Tag when the related game action occurs.
- For fast breaks, prioritize the made shot first and assign the player after the whistle.
🏐 Volleyball Tags
Kill — An attack directly results in a point.
- Attack Error — Attack goes out or into the net.
Ace — A serve directly results in a point, including when the receiving team touches it but cannot return it.
- Service Error — Serve goes out or into the net.
- Block — Defender stops the attack at the net.
- Dig — Defender keeps the ball alive after an attack.
- Assist (Set) — Set leads directly to a kill.
- Reception Error — Pass fails after a serve.
- Substitution — Player enters the court.
- Because rallies are fast, focus on the point-ending action rather than every touch.
⚽ Soccer Tags
- Goal — Ball fully crosses the goal line.
Shot on Target — A shot that scores or would enter the goal without a save.
- Shot off Target — Shot misses the frame.
- Assist — Pass or cross directly leads to a goal.
- Corner Kick, Free Kick, Yellow Card, Red Card, Substitution, Offside — Tag when the official game event occurs.
- Because soccer is low scoring, double-check every goal tag immediately.
🏈 Flag Football / 7v7 Scoring and Moments
Use the scoring controls to record touchdowns, safeties, and successful 1-point or 2-point conversions. Assign the scoring player when applicable.
Use Moments to bookmark other important plays, such as interceptions, defensive stops, and key catches. You can review these Moments and add player information or custom tags.
Flag Football does not use assist attribution. During fast play, prioritize recording the score or marking the Moment, then complete player details during a stoppage.
🥍 Lacrosse Scoring and Moments
Record goals and assists using Lacrosse scoring. Use Moments to bookmark other important plays, such as saves, faceoff wins, ground balls, and defensive stops.
🏒 Ice Hockey Scoring and Moments
Record goals and assign the scoring player, with up to two assists per goal. Use Moments to bookmark saves, penalties, and other important plays for later review.
Check player attribution and scoring details during stoppages to keep the game record accurate.
✅ Key Reminders
- Accuracy is more important than trying to tag every possible touch or action.
- Correct mistakes as soon as they happen.
- Use stoppages to finish player attribution when the game moves too quickly.
- Review the tag log throughout the game so errors do not accumulate.
