BallerCam’s Point Classification feature helps categorize scoring plays during a volleyball game, while Tag Stats lets you review the game afterward and add plays or statistics that may have been missed during live scoring.
1. Set Up Point Classification
- On a secondary iOS device, open the live game and select Keep Score. You need Keep Score permission.
- Open Game Settings and find Point Classification.
- Choose your team if you only want to classify your team’s points, or select both teams if you want to classify points for both teams.
- Enable Assign to Player if you want applicable scoring plays associated with a specific player.
- After choosing your settings, tap Start Scoring.
You can use an older compatible iPhone or iPad as the secondary device. The iPhone 13 Pro or newer requirement applies to the filming device.
2. Classify Each Point
- KILL — An attack that directly results in a point.
- ERROR — An error that results in a point for the opposing team.
- BLOCK — A successful block that results in a point.
- ACE — A serve that directly results in a point.
- If Assign to Player is enabled, assign the scoring play to the responsible player when applicable. Errors are not assigned to a specific player.
3. Add Missing Plays with Tag Stats
- After the stream is uploaded and available on desktop web, select Tag Stats.
- Review the game and add plays or statistics that were missed during live scoring.
- Available scoring tags include Kill, Ace, Block Point, and Point.
- Error tags include Attack Error, Serve Error, Set Error, Block Error, and Reception Error.
- Defense tags include Dig and Block.
- In-Play tags include Attack, Serve, Reception, and Set.
📝 Correct Set Scores and Confirm the Result
When correcting a score, make sure you're editing the intended set. A correction can change which team won that set, so review the updated set score and match result afterward.
If you end a tied game without a recorded final-set winner, BallerCam prompts you to select the winner. Confirm the correct team to finish saving the result.
